We are John & Julie Frohrip and have been involved at Liberty since 1993.
Our son, Davis, is 14 and our daughter, Madeline is 11. Both are students at Metro Christian Academy.
In the spring of 2008, after talking with several parents and ministry leaders at Liberty,
we felt lead to begin a new ministry called Pier 56. This ministry was born out of the belief that
5th & 6th grade students need a place of their own. The fifth graders have outgrown the setting of
children's church and the 6th graders are not quite ready for the topics discussed in youth ministry.
A bridge was needed to keep this group excited about growing in Christ on a weekly basis.
We are amazed at how God is working in the lives of these students! Friendships are being built
and an environment has been created that they want to invite their non-church friends to be a part of.
Our vision for Pier 56 is that God would continue to send new students our way every week that need to
know Christ personally. To accomplish this vision, we know that God will also continue to send adult
volunteers who want to be a part of this amazing ministry.
